In a small, snowy town of 30,000, the atmosphere was lit up by a lively Engaged brainstorming session! This interactive Engaged workshop in Kiruna in Sweden was attended by some 50 participants, who ranged from local Swedish politicians to older adults and people working with local non-for-profits.
Working sessions on topics such as exploring a "People Value Canvas", Engaged's top lessons learned so far, and methods for capturing these lessons learned and working with them.
On September 4th 2013, the ENGAGED project - together with the EIP AHA Action Groups C2 Independent Living and B3 Integrated Care – organised a mutual learning workshop on ￼innovative procurement in Bari (Italy).
What are the tools of public procurement for the acquisition of innovative services and products for independent living and integrated care?
The workshop analysed the current approaches and experiences from different European regions, allowing mutual learning and sharing practices among regional representatives and stakeholders.
On October 23rd the ENGAGED Consortium held Mutual Learning Seminar in Eindhoven, Netherlands in the framework of the“Smart Health Meets Design” fair. Organised with the Action Group C2 (Development Interoperable Independent Living Solutions) of the EIP AHA, the event gathered both experts and lay persons interested in providing their views and experiences on the subject of working with users (older persons, persons with disabilities, formal and informal carers) and of involving them in the research and decision- making process.
The Czech Republic learned all about Active and Healthy Ageing at a conference on 18 February 2014:http://www.ntmc.cz/?CTRL=news&id=27&lang=en. Over 100 persons met in the Czech capital, Prague,at the country's 2014 eHealth Day. Held largely in the Czech language, the conference heard from manyspeakers and panellists from industry, policy, applied and research fields.
Pilgrims head to Santiago de Compostela, having made a long trek to get there. On Monday 28th April 2014, members of Engagedfound the city to be an equally satisfying destination. The Galician innovation initiative, Innova Saude, held its first internationalmeeting on healthcare innovation in the region. Galicia – which is one of the European Innovation Partnership's reference sites –made a perfect spot to talk about innovation in healthcare.
On 5/6 June 2014, some 15 partners from Engaged met over a day and a half to assess the work done to date in the project. They looked the results of the project's annual technical review, and planned the last months of work before the project's end. Subjects covered included roadmapping, community building, the necessary cross-fertilisation of work, planning for the project's final conference, and project management.
