The edition 2013 of the AAL Ambient Assisted Living Forum took place from 24 to 26 September in Norrköping (Sweden).
This yearly event supported the AAL Joint Programme is meant for community building and discussion on innovation, dissemination and awareness, and policy thinking.
CORAL, EUREGHA, the Assembly of European Regions (AER) and the ENGAGED project organised a lively talk show on regional innovation in active and healthy ageing. During 90 minutes, 5 regional politicians explained to the audience how they boost innovation in active and healthy ageing in their regions and how they collaborate at European level. Some short videos from regions were also presented, giving the fifty participants the opportunity to discover some of the best practices from all over Europe.
Among the proposals made by the politicians and the audience, the idea of setting a group of Ambassadors to pass on the message of innovation in active ageing locally, in different languages, received support. “We need to find some multipliers for our actions”, agreed the participants.
