International virtual conference
Getting involved in an international dialogue:
International Virtual Conference on 27 March 2015
Marc Lange tells us that - those of you who participated at the ENGAGEDNovember 2014 conference - that there is a further opportunity to participatein a similar, distributed, collaborative event.
An international virtual conference on telemedicine - Telesanté is due to be held inMarch 2015. Its interactive format means that the event reaches a large international audience, but also enables you to set up a local event which then links to the overarching event.
If you want to learn a bit more, please contact Marc Lange (email@example.com).
This Telehealth event is organized every year and connects more than 20 French-speaking regionsby video-conference, and has done for more than 10 years.
Now, on Friday 27 March 2015, an international session will be organised which can offeran interesting opportunity for ENGAGED partners, members and friends. It will be run in English.
More details of the event can be found at http://en.journee-telesante.com/home.html.
A typical way to participate "at" this event would be to organize a local event in your region with a local audience and connect it by video-conference to the “journée telesanté” (telehealth day) for an hour or two.
OUTCOMES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
By doing so, you would work on two objectives:
- Disseminating by presenting – from home – what your region is doing in ENGAGEDthrough an international event dedicated to telehealth.
- Getting involved in stakeholder engagement (since you would offer your localstakeholders:a) a means to contribute to/attend this dissemination activity by presenting to a wide international public information about what they are contributing to, andb) from "home" have access to experiences and lessons learned from peoplein other countries.
