European Health Management Association Ltd.
EHMA is a not-for-profit membership association with over 160 member institutions across 30 countries working in the health field, ranging from hospitals and insurance funds to ministries of health, social care providers, regions, and research institutes. EHMA’s aim is to improve the quality and build the capacity of health management in the European region. EHMA is the only European membership organization focusing on innovation in health management across the whole health sector.
EHMA has significant expertise in managing complex partnerships, projects and operations as well as international dissemination activities, both within EU funded projects and outside. EHMA activities are not only focused on disseminating knowledge across different countries but also between different parts of the health system represented within EHMA’s membership. This includes dissemination of research results to managers, for example through EHMA’s Annual Conference, where leading researchers present new findings to a mixed audience. It also includes dissemination of research to policy makers, for example through EHMA’s EU policy roundtables, which aim to bring research results to a Brussels-based audience. In 2011 these roundtables included a series on evidence for integrated care for older people and the launch of a research study on cross border care.
