Fundación TECNALIA Research & Innovation
TECNALIA is the result of the merger of 8 Technological Centres, giving rise to the largest private group of Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+i) in Spain and one of the first in Europe. TECNALIA is very active in FP7, participating in 169 projects and coordinating 34 of them. Moreover it is participating in three AAL projects, coordinating two of them (Bedmond and Assistant projects). TECNALIA has a specific strategy in aging; it mobilizes research teams of the following fields: Software, Construction, Health technologies, Innovation Systems, Information Society, Media, Telecommunications and Biosciences. Incorporating a total of 100 researchers and a 10M€ level of activity. TECNALIA Health Technologies Unit develops new technologies (on eHealth, ATs and rehabilitation mainly) in the field of health and life quality at the service of people. Besides being coordinator of work package 2 Community Building, TECNALIA will mainly take part in the road mapping generation activities in work package 4.
