New Tools for Health (NTFH) is a regional growth research driven cluster initiative established in 2005 in East Sweden. The main founders are East Sweden County Council (main care provider), the main municipalities (Norrköping and Linköping, who are social care providers as well as regional growth promoters), Linköping University, plus elected representatives from the 50 company members. It is base funded by VINNOVA, The Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems. In the area of Active and Healthy ageing, the cluster has specific focus on innovative ICT solutions in relation to Social inclusion, fall prevention and the chronic diseases heart failure and diabetes. The selected areas are based on regional strengths in co-ordnance with the Smart Specialisation Strategy. NTFH represents the region of East Sweden in the Coral network.
NTFH will work principally on work package 3 on match making event for clustering on mutual learning topics.
