Kent County Council
Kent County Council is one of the largest upper-tier local authorities in England. It has a significant and internationally recognised history of using advanced assistive technologies to benefit patients with long term conditions and higher social care needs. It was one of the three pilot areas for the UK’s Whole System Demonstrator Programme and has now mainstreamed telehealth (and telecare) within every day service delivery. It is currently rolling out pilots of integrated health and social care provision in three areas of Kent by October 2012.
KCC will work principally on work package 3 mutual learning activities.
